Is Glycerin Soap Good For Acne

interview with Sir Vival Rüdiger Nehberg

Christian Lautner met with Germany's best-known human rights advocate and survival experts to interview.

The broadcasting studio in the Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt on the first Sunday of November is filled with life. Around 700 people have gathered for vision festival to be captivated by the adventurous expeditions of the speakers. Survival training in the jungle, searching for food and the creative use of predators - the slide show festival leaves nothing to be desired.
highlight of the evening was the presentation "jungle adventure" by Rüdiger Nehberg. Images and reports show a cross section through its night life that fascinates me personally for months. My curiosity was satisfied by his books, films and articles, and my thirst for knowledge will be this evening Eldorado.

all started, I wanted to learn how I humanely move in nature and be respectful of plants and animals. So I contacted via the website Nehberg his partner Annette Weber. They told me of a wilderness training, offered by a survival school in the Black Forest - a personal recommendation by Rüdiger Nehberg. I decided to spend wildly, with expert trainers and other participants, three days in the open. Nature was kind to me and for a moment I felt a real adventurer.

Rüdiger Nehberg is activist for human rights , confectioner and survivor in one person. Fascinated with so much commitment, I was a supporting member in Nehberg human rights group TARGET, and remained in contact with Annette Weber continued. One day now the opportunity presented itself, Ruediger Nehberg to know actually. Up with the idea for an interview for FACES was born. The tickets I had bought months earlier and now it has finally come.

I am accompanied by my colleague Klaus-Hickmann Rother, of Aegis Media, and Alexander Groth, coach of the CARAT ACADEMY. We take Rüdiger Nehberg during the technical preparations for his presentation. After a short notice I am looking for a place and I'm curious what Nehberg will tell me after the talk.

Nehberg lecture is an explosion of fascinating pictures and adventure stories. His time with the Yanomami, a Brazilian Indian tribe is well documented how the secret filming in gold miners. He passed himself off with the documentary filmmaker Wolfgang Brög as prospectors and filmed with a hidden camera. For 65 000 armed prospectors invaded the territory of the Indians and threatened their existence. They cleared forests and conquered the country can claim they destroyed the nature and left debris and mud, then they moved on to the next gold-seekers up camp.
The film was sent around the world called "Gold Rush in the Amazon" (ZDF, report) from Greenpeace to the transmitter and the crimes became public.
Nehberg also supports the people of the Waiapí Indians, also Brazil's indigenous people, and built there already clinics. In return, they showed him edible plants and medicinal herbs, and prepared him for his next adventure before - exposed in the jungle without equipment.

too daring actions such Nehberg rappelling from a helicopter in the Brazilian jungle are shown. With camera equipment and a loincloth, but excluding inventories, knives and navigation system, he suggested for weeks through the jungle until he finally arrived in civilization.

Nehberg before the end is his human rights group TARGET, both for Indians in South American rain forest, when committed against female genital mutilation. Its conferences and the caravans of the desert Hope already achieved great successes, further actions are planned. Of these Nehberg reported on 27.11.2006 on the show Johannes B. Kerner.

meet in a separate room we Rüdiger Nehberg on which we now have to answer questions.
CL: Is there something in your life that you regret?
RN: Yes, I've started not before with all the things. I was blocked by my pastry shop in Hamburg too much and someday I could be rid of it. But otherwise I have no regrets.

CL: Who or what do you admire?
RN: People like Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Gorbachev, who have somehow moved something huge, although they determines would not have expected.

CL: Is there an adventurer, which you nacheiferst?
RN: No, I never had. I've always lived my own ideas.

CL: What do you like adventure do not like?
RN: Now it is mainly only to still achieve the objective that is in Mecca officially declared genital mutilation is a sin. That's all for my next adventure, but then I think. I have no time for anything else in the moment.

CL: How do you deal with enemies?
RN: The I smile, which is supposedly the best way the enemies will not show. If there are opponents who makes a reasoned argument against I have then it may be that I change my views. But if they are only opponents of fanaticism and envy, I have no time for me dealing with them. I just steal my remaining life time. At 71 you have to deal with it very economical.

CL: How can strengthen a company resulting from difficulties?
RN: I would drum all the employees together and see what each of ideas, bringing the company back ahead. No vision is bold to. One must remember that all of man-made initially created in the mind of a single person. It was then understood to reach the right strategy, patience and happiness the goal. Each party, religion, every city is so developed. There is a book titled "The Collapse", which is worth reading. It is a world-seller from the U.S. and talks about the companies and people at some point either a mistake or have done something right and then perished, or are just expanding. Maybe you can learn there as well suggestions.

AG: You've accomplished an awful lot. Not only do you do it yourself, but you also have other motivated to do extraordinary things. Is there a recommendation?
RN: Yes, if you have some people and can not hang out and order are the boss, but that makes them partners and that their success is also Success. As in my case with my partner Annette Weber with the people with whom I was with the Indians. We were always partners. I was at best primus inter pares, because I had the idea. I think if you're involved people, they are more motivated than when they are forced. Coercion and poor working conditions and human-killing moments for a business. Yesterday I was on a similar slide Festival as here, there were around many volunteers, young people with red jackets, who were thrilled to get a penny for the cause. They do it to dip into the atmosphere of traveling to get to know strangers to themselves to find motivation. I think that's great. Paid bring the ambition often do not. As will be looked at the clock and calculates the time left until closing time.

KH: Have you ever thought about your death?
RN: Ongoing! Because he always comes closer.

KH: And where would you put in this case to rest?
RN: If it is painful, I will kill myself. Whether I will do, I do not know. I have prepared for any event. If I choose not, I have two places in the world I tell but not where I would retreat to nature. Somewhere in Africa or in the jungle, where I have my secret hideaways and will see the end of equanimity. At the moment, but I am so full of plans that I still do not have time to let me now recycle from nature. Mathematically, I'm soon to it. When I was younger, I always thought: "Oh God! What must be that if you're 70 or 80? If we then only to the death? "Now it's time. But I take it calmly, because it caught everyone, whether animal or plant. Now I'm just it.

KH: The calm one, right?
RN: Yes, very calm and that no one of them is spared. Neither do you.
you sit opposite Rüdiger Nehberg, you feel literally his boundless energy and power that is unprecedented for a 71 year old survivor of many robberies has and despite own pastry shop and family regularly traveled the world.

give a farewell we Rüdiger Nehberg Schwedenbitter a bottle along the way, so that he can master his next adventure play. Inspired and grateful to have met these fascinating people, I make my way home to get me back on the adventure of "office" to prepare.

Perth Cruising Locations

As in the wild!

Christian Lautner keeps in his spare time with fondness in nature. came via the contact with Germany's best-known survival experts Rüdiger Nehberg he join up with the idea of a wilderness training with Zwerger and Raab .

He spent Pentecost 2006 in Hinterzarten (Black Forest), under the guidance of an expert team under the open sky, without electricity or lighter, according to the motto:
"I went into the woods because I wished to live well considered living Mostly I wanted. , suck the marrow of life in me to get everything to eradicate what was not alive. So I would not stop at death, that I had not lived. "
(Henry David Thoreau, American writer and philosopher)

The Wilderness Training - The Testimony

wanted a long time I get to know even with an experienced leader and a better understanding of forests and nature. I spoke with local foresters and hunters, but I have fallen on deaf ears. Now and then I got to fruit growers and farmers know that breast feeding my curiosity in the short term. Books on medicinal plants and adventure stories of Rüdiger Nehberg and Tilmann Waldthaler helped me get over the fact that the elderly do not reveal everything her knowledge. Either they are no longer alive are sitting, watching television or spend the winter in Majorca.

a telephone conversation with partner Annette Weber Nehberg changes everything.
I learned of it by the Wilderness Training Company Zwerger and Raab and signed up immediately. After several months of waiting, it was done:

Day 1

Reinhard Zwerger, managing director and coach, of 17 curious participants (including 4 women) and three other coaches (one of which his partner) is surrounded and is all very welcome. An auspicious day, the 3rd June 2006. It is cool and drizzling. We are located in a picturesque valley, witches hole at St. Märgen in Hinterzarten Black Forest on a picnic area with a spacious cabin, a fountain and seating made of wood. The backpacks are all present on a tarp next to the Entrance of the hut.
The cabin is equipped with kitchen and sleeping facilities. Food and equipment are unloaded from the company's vans and tents to build two additional scouts to find really any place to sleep. Besides Bedding is also provided for the catering and all help to establish the base camp: we chop firewood and to make umbrellas, but not the sun but mostly hold the rain. I look around, get to know the coaches and participants. Questions are always answered and assistance is always done - even by the participants. Any freely decide which exercises he misses and also what he eats.

No Rambos or Foreign Legionnaires - who do not need more of this training.
Among the participants are more like-minded people - ordinary people, merchants, business owners, educators, a farmer, system administrators, students, et cetera. Some of them have read books by Rüdiger Nehberg and came out to the address of Zwerger & Raab, others were given this training for Christmas or birthday gift.
After the camp is set up, gathered enough firewood and the food is given, Reinhard drums all together. Let us introduce ourselves: Who am I? Why am I here? What I expect? The process will be explained and the rules and the way it is mentioned that the mobile phones work because of a radio hole is not here. After that provides Reinhard already the first tasks: "A storm is brewing storm from north-east You gotta therefore build a shelter, a fire and gather herbs for making tea, the only thing you are allowed to take this two matches and everything!.. what you already have in your jacket and trouser pockets. The backpacks to stay here and nobody is taking before you once again to create. "I had a feeling something like that, look for help to my accurate packed backpack and I hope my big knife and bring my lighter.

BIG FOUR: WATER, FIRE, SHELTER, FOOD

run in small teams of 3-5 people going on and we determine the wind direction. We stumble over roots, look for large branches to build a shelter and small to make a fire. The team to which I belong, is fast. Euphoria and adrenaline drive us forward. The camp is finally safe and secure on a small hill on the side away from the storm, protected by large trees. Then we harvest Bärwurz, sorrel and plantain for the tea and give the coaches notice that our team is ready. Gradually, look Reinhard and his three fellow coaches at the work of the teams, give advice and support. The most difficult to prove the fire-making, which we will ignite in the presence of the trainer. Reinhard distributed two matches to each team and whether the skill of its participants. It rained a lot in recent days - the Spring is so far from realized - on the road is even snow. Only the withered branches on the tree are suitable for lighting fires. With patience and windshield it works then. The location of Shelter is also very important if you want to survive a storm unscathed. To orient itself properly and to determine the wind direction, are of fundamental importance. When the rain as a visitor does, simply by the entrance hole penetrate, you should think again, to shift the input to another page. The herbs for the tea are not used and the fire we will also be back. It was in the exercise only that we understand how to back up as quickly as possible heat, shelter and food, and how important this is. You may, under the term THE BIG FOUR: WATER, FIRE, SHELTER, FOOD. (Water, fire, shelter and food) are summarized. These four elements are like a thread through the three days. They are a key component of wilderness training.

A person can be three minutes without air, three hours without warmth, three days without water and three weeks without food . Commented

The perspective to the fear of starvation or thirst in the three days. Also makes clear how vital these things are and that's the point indicated in this training. The upcoming exercises are mainly concerned with these topics: get water, fire, fire, build shelter and find food.
learn in the next few hours we Reinhard and his training team know as very affable, friendly and competent experts. The relaxed way of training is also convincing the last doubters.
stand after the first lesson and snack plant science and a knot on the plan. Which plants are edible? Can you eat flowers? How well will my nodes? Are there better? How and what do I attach my canvas? How to build a rope from nettles? In between, Reinhard said that each participant is free to decide whether he in the hut, tent or self-built shelter in the forest sleeps. We have plenty of time to think and choose for us fashion the place to sleep and to be able to. Reinhard sets ropes and tarpaulins ostentatiously beside the seating on the floor, each is faced with this decision. The tarpaulins me smile, I grab two of them and disappear in the woods. Then we will prepare the dinner. It is cooked together and fried: fish, potatoes, salad and French bread. Self-collected herbs refine the salad and stretch the dough. When registering, we were asked about eating habits (vegetarian, vegan, Muslim, etc.) and accordingly bought a Reinhard. It is enough for everyone, no one has to catch the meat itself!
I spend the night in the woods, with a rain tarp, sleeping pad and sleeping bag - pure curiosity. Some also choose a few for the majority sleep in the hut or in tents. I wish fox and hare a good night and sleep peacefully and deeply.

Day 2

The next day we start back at the lick and the daily routine with an extensive Breakfast and subsequent fire-making, rope customer, bow and arrow shooting and herbs. In the same teams as the day before trying the participants thoroughly and make a lot of patience with fire by friction or sparks (iron and flint). Fire represents life, warmth of heart, body and soul.

The glow is always here

will then transports the heat in-built natural transport vessels, again in the evening to rekindle the fire with it - also part of the task. "The equipment of the Iceman" Ötzi " was a vessel made of birch bark, which is red-hot charcoal had mentioned. It was inside blackish discolored and covered with maple leaves as insulating material. Thus, the embers are kept for several hours. Iceman broke from his camp, he could wrap up the embers of his fire in fresh leaves as an insulating material, thus leading almost air-tight in his birch-bark container with it. This was the glow of a few hours at the glow, and saved him at his next stop the work of making fire. "Reinhard explains. This is the reason why we build such receptacles (from tin cans or pieces of wood) and our fire führen.Natürlich us are also the coaches with advice and support. In the next Exercises, we learn more nodes across a creek using a rope and get to know different types of crossing.
Once back at base camp, we expect an archery range. Each is armed with bow and arrows matching. The trainers explain the process and the security rules, then is stretched, created and shot. Reinhard also shows us other hunting weapons: spear, throwing stick and spear thrower. Sometimes we look back to the fire. In between is always drunk and eaten - water, juice, bread, sausage, cheese and chocolate - can it with a growling stomach can not learn, is the motto of Reinhard. He calls this ritual the Vesper. Then follows a trip through the expansive valley and we learn about plants you can eat or possess healing powers. Later, the camp fire with the fire is lit constantly carried, with delicious dinner and campfire stories, we can finally end the day. Reinhard showed us his collection arrow: Indian arrows, arrows from Mongolia, England, etc., and talks about his experiences in Canada. Then I go into the forest to experience my second night under the stars. I rebuilt my bed before something: a tarp on the floor and a second as a roof, more taut ropes and tighter knots. I sleep better and sleepy almost the breakfast.

Day 3

The last day was spent with orientation, water treatment, trap and trade fair visitors. We will learn compass directions with and without assistive technology to determine and calculate distances with simple tricks from nature, and the march of time. Then we gather around Reinhard, who are various options for water treatment (carbon filter, tablets) and shows us the appropriate filters. He demonstrates various traps, but has also emphasized that the trapping in Germany is strictly prohibited. Finally, he puts a few different knives on the table, each of which has its very specific use (throw, stab, cut, etc.) and he demonstrated real grind and sharpen. After we pack all the things together, clean the place and the lodge, our buildings destroyed in the forest and leave no traces as possible. We leave the nature, as we have found it. The next member of the training will eventually find the same situation.
We walk through the sun-drenched valley and head for a forest park. From there we are taken to Hinterzarten, where are our cars. At the car park we leave, everyone does on his way home. In their luggage: Dirty laundry, abundant impressions and experiences of success, new knowledge and the knowledge that survival is not that difficult - if you know how. My hunger for 'Survival' and animal behavior in nature is for the time being breastfed

Zwerger and Raab. - The experts

Since its founding in 1988 - and probably long before that - are the coach and general manager of Zwerger Raab GmbH in forests and deserts, on mountains and rivers of the earth unterwegs.Da meet a lot of experience - so many that recommends Rüdiger Nehberg them in his books as the best Survival Survival Course address Germany
